Bear, Book, and Candle

Bear Book and Candle is a metaphysical store, located in the heart of Belleville IL. But we are also much more. Bear, Book, and Candle is the Metro East's largest full service store of its kind. We carry merchandise that appeals to all ages and backgrounds. Over a decade of effort has gone into finding specialized metaphysical products; along with unique gift items and collectables for the most discriminating buyer.

Throughout it's 15+ years of service, Bear Book and Candle has been described as "mystical" by many customers. It's atmosphere speaks of calm & serenity. The tinkling of fountains, background music, and seating areas are pleasing; as are the many opportunities to sample and experience much of the vast inventory. People generally come in and stay for a while, to fully experience the unique shop.

Bear Book and Candle is celebrating it's 15th year anniversary in 2008. The growth of the shoppe has been largely due to it's loyal costomer base. Un fortunately, we lost our longtime unique location - and now have a much smaller, less visible shoppe (although we DO have plenty of parking). And, we have been able to keep the unique quality and largess of our product base. We accept ALL credit and debit cards - and have a liberal layaway policy. We offer a military discount, have a monthly drawings, lots of sales, and give gifts with nearly every purchase. We're able to go the extra distance with our very specialized service.

A list of products would be too much to list at this time; however, you can rest assured that all books and materials are current. New inventory is arriving all the time - to keep us current in our unique and specialized market of alternative Spirituality Products - as well as mainstream fantasy items and more.

Finally, at the present time, Bear Book and Candle is OPEN ONLY on Saturday afternoons; from about 1p.m. until 6/7p.m. or later. We hope to be open Tuesday and Friday afternoons as we move out of the winter weather. Meanwhile, if someone needs a special appointment please call ahead by a day - or at least a few hours. Note: Also call ahead anytime you are traveling from a distance - as I'm trying to keep the shoppe open by myself right now, and am not always able to be there.
